Where did the time go?

I hadn't realized so much time had passed since I last wrote.

Things have really changed around here.  Baby Cloudy arrived on Wednesday March 29th at 5p.  Mom Marty went to get her, she flew on on Delta just like I did.

Cloudy is HUGE!!  She arrived at 10 weeks of age.  She looks like a baby Rainy dog.  Cloudy started going to Puppy Kindergarten the next evening, March 30th.  She and Mom Marty have been working hard on Cloudy's homework.

I  know that Mom Marty gets frustrated with baby Cloudy and I am REALLY over her!!  I so much want to play with her.  Rainy used to play so nicely with me.  Cloudy jumps at me, hits me with her front feet and one day she even put her jaws completely over my body.  Mom Marty steps in to help me and to help baby Cloudy understand that us Chihuahuas don't like how she is trying to play with us.

Whispy and I have been going to our agility class.  For the most part we are doing well, having a lot of fun and we are enjoying ourselves.  Last week both Whispy and I had some trouble with the weave poles.  Mom Marty had to guide us with her hand after we each failed a couple of times.  Mom Marty was still very proud of us and we did have a good time.  After class, the trainer talked with Mom Marty.  She told Mom Marty that she should sign Whispy and me up for more night weave pole classes.  Mom Marty listened and then we left.

I could see that Mom Marty was trying not to cry.  Our teacher doesn't understand that we all have a big upset at home with the arrival of baby Cloudy.  We came to agility to run and have fun, not to be criticized over nothing.  Whispy and I will never be shown in agility because Mom Marty doesn't want to show in agility.  Now she is focusing on training baby Cloudy and making sure that our home life hasn't really changed.  Mom Marty still has time to play with me, or any of us Chihuahuas.  She give us hugs and kisses and tells us we are wonderful.  We still have special time and get special treats that baby Cloudy doesn't even know about because she is in her crate sleeping.

Each day I see baby Cloudy maturing....she still has the attention span of a gnat.  Mom Marty will correct her leaping at me a couple of times before she scoops up baby Cloudy for a time out in her crate.  That puppy gets over stimulated and her brain just shuts off.  Mom Marty said that eventually baby Cloudy will behave like Rainy did toward us, gentle and kind.  I can't wait for that day to come.

Well it is agility day tomorrow.  Mom Marty has been sick in bed for the past two days.  I hope she is well enough to take us.  I so love to run and jump and eat special treats for doing so.
